Historical aerial photos are images taken by aerial photography of certain areas at multiple and varying periods of time from 1950-1980 AD, as these images illustrate the changes that occurred in those areas from urban development, vegetation cover, or otherwise.

In view of the important data contained in these images, the GCS decided to take advantage of it by copying the aerial photos and downloading them to the agency’s servers, then processing them and projecting them to the reference coordinate system, and compiling aerial photos according to the region, year of production and scale.
