The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security management systems, the globally recognized standard in this field.
The achievement reflects GEOSA's ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and enhance compliance with relevant national and international standards. The authority’s endeavours include developing an integrated information security management system based on a risk management approach and aligned with the controls set by the National Cybersecurity Authority.
GEOSA affirmed its commitment to continuing the development of its capabilities in data protection and cybersecurity enhancement, contributing to supporting digital transformation goals, beneficiary trust, and national sovereignty over data and geospatial information.
It is worth noting that GEOSA has previously been awarded ISO9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System and ISO1:2018 20000- certification for the systems and procedures of the data centre. This reflects its strong commitment to implement international best practices in quality management and IT services, enhance institutional performance efficiency, and increase the reliability of the services provided. These efforts support operational integration and business continuity in accordance with the highest recognized standards.
