To enable the integrated use of geospatial information, the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information establishes standards for the surveying and geospatial information sector and its associated imaging activities. The Authority updates these standards and ensures their implementation and compliance.

National Geospatial Data Standards

This document sets out the national geospatial data standards, covering geospatial data quality, specifications, management, evaluation, collection, maintenance and updating. It also provides for a national register of geospatial standards, with which all producers of fundamental-layer data must comply, while allowing for future updates.
